MORGANTOWN, WV (January 29, 2016) – West Virginia University has a new neighbor: a brand new full service IHOP® restaurant—featuring an all new full service IHOP Coffee Bar. To celebrate its grand opening on Friday, January 29, members of the community are encouraged to stop by the fun-filled event beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the official ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a pancake eating competition. In addition to the day’s festivities, the president of IHOP along with the Vice President of WVU Medicine Children’s will be in attendance to share a few words of welcome. Ten percent of the day’s sales between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. will benefit the WVU Medicine Children’s, which helps improve and save the lives of children in the
Morgantown area.
The new IHOP location at University Park boasts the restaurant brand’s new contemporary design and is one of the first IHOP restaurants to also feature an IHOP Coffee Bar. It is located on the ground floor of the new contemporary mixed-use residence hall and apartment complex known as University Park and next to WVU Medicine Children’s. University students can also use “Mountie Bounty,” the University’s cash vouchers at the restaurant. Over the last ten years, IHOP restaurants nationwide have helped raise $20 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through its annual National Pancake Day celebration, including WVU Medicine Children’s. The new Morgantown IHOP is located at 475 Oakland Street, Morgantown, WV 26505.
